Job Summary
Desired: Industrial Trade School Certificate in welding or graduate of Military Training School (Form DD-214 required), or associate in applied science - Welding.
Course of study to include: • Welding symbols & drawings • Metallurgy • Heliarc welding • Shielded Metal Arc welding • Mig welding • Dissimilar metals welding • Arc gouging • Oxygen/acetylene torch • Plasma torchoMetal fabrication & lay-out • Hand & Power tools • RiggingoPreheat & Post Heat principles
Job requirements: • Successful completion of annual welding re-certification • Must successfully pass the POSS/MASS pre-employment test • Travel within and outside of region • Overtime – available for overtime assignments • Ability to work from heights as required (ladder, scaffolding, skyclimber, etc.) • Ability to work in confined spaces as required • Ability to push, pull, or lift minimum of 50 pounds • Walking, standing, bending, and climbing as required • Work environment (hot, cold, dusty, noisy, inside building, and outdoor) • Must be medically qualified to use a respirator at all times
