SUMMARY

Responsible for being a market expert on key markets in the country and in counseling regions on techniques and processes that are most effective in improving the retailer network. Establishes and tracks plans for all current markets as well as conducts market studies on future representation possibilities. Ensures that Executive and field management are applying consistency in following Subaru of America's (SOA's) market development strategies. Develops materials, policies, initiatives, strategies, and/or plans to ensure achievement of goals surrounding increased dedication, better locations, and better staffing.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Conducts comprehensive national market study and core-based statistical analyses and tracks progress towards achievement of the desired results.
  • Targets site control investment opportunities, develops site and candidates, and assesses performance.
  • Analyzes strategic market representation plan and provides quantitative and qualitative support for Executive Management.
  • Provides retail capacity forecasting and forward-projecting Minimum Standards to Retail Environment Manager and executive management in support of meeting the needs of SOA's retail customers.
  • Reviews Retailer Packages submissions for quality and ensures legal consistency of required documents.
  • Develops Open Point Market Studies to ensure that current and future potential retailer transactions optimize Subaru's position in the market.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides and conducts training as necessary for the field and new staff on market development process, legal requirements, and systems.

Required Skills and Personal Qualifications

  • Well-organized and capable of working with all levels of management.
  • In-depth knowledge of retail operations and state laws effecting dealer networks and market actions.
  • Ability to complete data mining in Oracle front-ends and various vendor formats.
  • Cartography training/certification preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Persuasive while able to maintain strong working relationships.
  • Ability to effectively interface with outside consultants and legal teams

Education/Experience Requirements: 4-Year College Degree (BA, BS) and 10-12 years' experience

Work Environment


  • Required Travel: 20% travel required

Compensation: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $111500 - 159200 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
