Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading building envelope solution supplier that effectively drives energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. We are seeking a Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician in our Puyallup, WA Plant.
The Maintenance Lead is responsible for performing repairs on all machinery and equipment throughout
the plant and is also accountable for minor administrative functions including assigning work orders and
work order time recording. Expected hours of work 40 hours a week with a varied shift schedule 8-10
hours shifts with occasional overtime and weekend hours. No travel required.
Shift: 3rd shift 9:30pm-6am. Sunday to Thursday
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment- evaluate equipment operation and perform necessary action
when malfunction occurs, or improvements are needed.
• Performs preventive maintenance activities as dictated by work schedule.
• Administration-distribute work orders, process/ summarize work order data, initiate purchase
requisitions, utilize equipment and process documentation.
• Keep MDI Board current and up to date.
• Comply and participate regulatory, Carlisle, And departmental policies, procedures, and
standards (PSM, safety protocols, COS)
• Provide training to Maintenance technicians I & II & III as needed.
• Articulate to vendors/engineer's machine issue to resolve technical issues.
• Handle and audit preventative maintenance procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
• Fast paced manufacturing environment where workers are exposed to both ambient/outside
temperatures and dust; working with mechanical parts and pinch points; exposure to increased
noise levels.
• Exposure to hazardous mechanical, electrical and chemical substances/equipment.
• Confined workspaces.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Used:
• Eye and hearing protection is required at all times on the production floor.
• Safety toe shoes (steel/composite).
• Flame Resistant rated Maintenance uniform provided.
• Other PPE as defined by management within assigned department

Note to Washington State applicants:
Per the state's Wage Transparency Act, the range for this position is $38.60-$41.30. Actual salary could be greater based on education, experience, and other qualifying skill sets.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to train and lead a team of 4 or more Maintenance Technicians.
• Knowledge of measuring gauges such as tape measures.
• Knowledge of various hand and power tools.
• Prior experience operating a forklift.
• Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Ability to work under pressure to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations.
• Have boiler operator certification or ability to obtain boiler certification.
• Working knowledge of electrical codes including NEMA, etc. (NFPA 70E, Arc Flash)
• Industrial electrical AC/DC troubleshooting skills, including ability to utilize electrical
instrumentation (megohmmeter).
• Complete knowledge of all plant equipment (level III).
• Ability to use hand& portable tools, gas and arc welder, forklift, pickup truck, testing equipment,
tape measure, computer (shop floor and ERP).
Education and Experience:
o Education - High School diploma or GED required.
o Five (5) years minimum maintenance experience as a hands-on craftsman in an
industrial/manufacturing environment associated with engineering or maintenance
activity.
o Understanding of basic mechanical & electrical principles as they apply to plant/process
specific equipment (hydraulic and pneumatic systems also) along with the ability to
troubleshoot and repair equipment.
o Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.
o Prior leadership experience with a team of no less than four (4) employees
o Some knowledge and experience in using a forklift and scissor lift.
o Experience with computers including Microsoft Office suite programs (Word, Excel,
Outlook)
o Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
o Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills
o Ability to work under pressure to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations.
