Position Title: Technical Writer III
Location: Remote, USA
Anticipated Start Date: 1-2 weeks

Expected Duration: 10/22/2024 to 01/22/2025
Job Type: [FULL TIME (>=40 HRS WEEKLY)], [CONTRACT], [Remote]
Pay: $40-$45/hr

Must have skills:
3+ years of experience with technical writing and editing developer-focused process documentation.
Proven ability to write clearly and concisely. Please have writing samples available upon request.
Experience efficiently editing and curating large volumes of technical content.
Knowledge of the developer audience, the Heroku product, and the open-source ecosystems around them.
Comprehension of one or more programming languages.
Ability to work on multiple projects at once.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Great people and communication skills.

Basic Requirements

Prior experience collaborating with teams of experts spanning writing, marketing, engineering, translation, and design.
Referenceable implementation of modern best practices in collaborative, open-source documentation pipelines.
Experience writing for the developer audience.
Experience with GitHub and Markdown.
