We are building a Community Bank for the modern world and are looking for talented, passionate professionals to join our team. We’re looking for a dynamic and growth driven Treasury Management Consultant to contribute to the expansion of our business, retail and commercial relationships. This role will be responsible for supporting the Northern Virginia and broader Washington Metropolitan region as a Treasury Management Consultant. This includes the acquisition and growth of Treasury Management sales and related revenue as well as deposit growth of Treasury Management relationships.

Essential Functions

  1. Grow Treasury Management and business, retail and commercial relationships.
  2. Grow Treasury Management related revenue and deposits.
  3. Serve as a TM advisor within the Bank to develop and provide education on TM products, pricing, and sales approach.
  4. Assist the Relationship Management team with TM relationship pricing, analysis proforma and proposal completion. Orchestrate customer and prospect sales calls to expand business relationships.
  5. Work closely and meet regularly with retail, business and commercial teams to discuss pipelines and approach for TM prospect and client meetings.
  6. Prepare retail, business and commercial client TM and deposit annual review presentations and attend annual review and ongoing meetings to expand upon TM and deposit business.
  7. Managing and pre-plan tasks and meeting schedule to maintain effective support of TM clients and business units.
  8. Prepare and present comprehensive sales proposals, analysis proformas and presentations to customers in addition to participating in and leading product training for various audiences.
  9. Identify TM and related deposit product and process improvements and solutions by communicating client and prospect needs.
  10. Review, analyze and understand clients’ TM needs and conduct professional demonstrations as needed.
  11. Understand any potential risk associated with any TM product and work with the appropriate departments to ensure all risks are identified and mitigated where necessary.

Other Duties

  1. Complies with all policies and procedures as applied to the Bank's BSA/AML policy.
  2. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Abilities

  1. Proven success in acquiring new Treasury Management business.
  2. Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative environment within and across the organization as it relates to Treasury Management.
  3. Subject matter expert of TM products, services and systems as well as deposit products.
  4. Advanced interpersonal, tactical and account management skills.
  5. Excellent strategic selling and oral presentation skills.
  6. Ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret information to formulate conclusions and recommendations.
  7. Strong understanding of value propositions related to treasury service applications within corporate treasury function.
  8. Strong ongoing collaborative relationships and team building skills across departments.
  9. Solid knowledge of commercial credit and credit quality.
  10. Broad knowledge of overall bank products and services.
  11. Excellent presentation, verbal and written communications skills.
  12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  13. Stay abreast of TM related system functionality as enhancements/releases are deployed and keep up on TM product knowledge, industry trends and competitor offerings.
  14. Strong relationship management and business development/sales skills and ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to generate, manage and grow TM customer relationships.
  15. Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding assigned goals and objectives.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Office environment with job duties conducted via telephone, face to face meetings, and on the computer.

Physical Demands

This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and opening cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary.

Travel

Travel may be required for this position.

Education and Experience

  1. 5+ years of banking-related sales experience preferably in TM sales and business development.
  2. Bachelor’s degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  3. Support customer service activities, business development initiatives, risk management, and compliance requirements.
  4. Possess a strong sales aptitude with a proven track record of success.
  5. Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Excellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
