Location: Remote


Teya Development Company, LLC is wholly owned by the Salamatof Native Association, Inc. (SNAI). As a leader in federal contracting, Teya supports projects across multiple sectors. Our Communications Manager role focuses on providing communication services to support the Acquisition Research Program (ARP), the Department of Defense Management (DDM), and the Naval Warfare Studies Institute (NWSI), all within the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, CA.

This is a remote, exempt position offering 30 hours per week. The role includes health, dental, and vision benefits, PTO and Holiday pay.


Responsibilities:



  • Strategic Communication: Develop and implement communication strategies to convey defense acquisition advancements through web, publications, newsletters, and social media.


  • Content Creation: Write weekly newsletters, manage symposium communications, and update websites for ARP, DDM, and NWSI.


  • Event Support: Provide communication expertise for the Annual Acquisition Research Symposium and other virtual and in-person events.


  • Social Media Management: Post updates, defense insights, and engage with stakeholders through multiple channels, including Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.


  • Collaboration: Participate in meetings with leadership to align communication efforts with organizational goals.


  • Writing Support: Guide best practices for faculty, students, and stakeholders, improving the quality of reports, newsletters, and publications.


Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications, marketing, or relevant fields.

  • At least 2 years of experience in technical writing and developing communication strategies.

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, social media, and video editing.

  • Experience in managing communication for large-scale events and publications.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.

  • Prior knowledge and understanding of the U.S. Department of the Navy is preferred.
