Position Summary:

Quality Control (QC) Supervisor oversees and coordinates Quality Control Technicians to ensure consistent and reliable operation of the QC laboratory. Implements quality control procedures for the laboratory. In this role, the appointee performs routine analysis to ensure the integrity of data, processes, and results and provides recommendations for improvement. Reviews and interprets test results to ensure accuracy. Act as liaison between QC employees and head of departments.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Oversee the QC Laboratory operations, processes, and procedures to ensure adherence to the company's guidelines and procedures

· Adheres to all relevant laboratory safety and compliance rules/requirements

· Drives improvement in Quality Control processes by monitoring current systems and evaluating internal Key Performance Indicators of QC functions.

· Manages instrument capacity and resources to support daily production, trouble shooting and validation needs. Collaborates with other departments to promote schedule attainment and problem resolution.

· Establishes and maintain tracking and trending tools for analysis conducted by QC laboratory and provides periodic reports.

· Ensures compliance of QC's functions to applicable regulatory requirements. Represents the QC Laboratory during internal and external audits.

· Coordinates the ordering of raw materials and consumables used in the Quality Control Laboratory

· Communicate with maintenance/calibration team to get equipment repaired when necessary

· As appropriate, communicate and participates in investigations of non-conformance or customer complaints

· Write, review and initiate new documents and documents (e.g. Procedures, Work Instructions, Change Requests)

· Monitor the completion of required housekeeping duties of the QC laboratory

· Ensure availability of resources to cover necessary activities to ensure product release needs are met

· Provides QC Team with coaching, training and opportunities to develop skills, and gives ongoing, constructive and timely feedback on performance and progress.

· Other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· Bachelor's Degree required, B.A. or B.S. in a Life Science field or Engineering are preferred

· 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control

· 1+ years of experience is leadership roles in Manufacturing environments

· Strong experience in a manufacturing environment in highly regulated industry (e.g. Medical Devices, Food, Automotive or Pharmaceutical)

· Lean-Six Sigma trained is strongly preferred

· Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

· Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written through the command chain

· Strong attention to detail

· Team Player, must be able to interact within the company with all departments

· Experience in Root Cause Analysis and technical writing skills

· The ability to effectively manage oneself, multi-task, demonstrates integrity, & be productive under pressure and achieve development goals

· The ability to prioritize projects and routinely activities based on strategic goals, accept accountability to drive results through effective actions and prioritization
