Overview

The Healthcare Technical Services group provides technical solutions for the Healthcare Application Management Division (HAMD) through System to System Integration using HL7, FHIR and other interface protocols, system technical support, application technical support, network integration, managing software installation and updates, and web application development.

Responsibilities include interface error resolution, interface documentation, interface design, interface configuration, table building, writing validation plans and using these plans to test and validate system interfaces. This position will also be responsible for interface documentation and general interface technical support. This position is a critical business partner with ancillary and inpatient departments, helping with strategic planning and making sure the department understands what resources are required to implement and support interfaces between departmental information systems and Epic.



Responsibilities

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and six years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR

Associate’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and seven years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR

Eight years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR

Equivalent combination of education and experience where one year of experience will be substituted for an Associate’s degree and two years of experience will be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.

Experience:

  • Two or more years paid work experience as a System/Application Analyst or Application Administrator.
  • Successful candidates must have experience and working knowledge in operating system software, relational and/or hierarchical databases, and technical application support for administrative and clinical systems.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record systems and the Healthcare environment
  • Experience with Epic Electronic Health Record
  • Experience with Epic Bridges

Job Related Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of HL7

Registrations, Certifications, and/or Licenses:

  • Epic Bridges Certification to be achieved within 6 month of hire
