Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Assistant Superintendent to join our dynamic team. This role is designed for individuals eager to learn and grow within the construction industry, specifically focusing on K-12 and municipal projects. The ideal candidate will support project management processes and, over time, take on greater responsibilities, ultimately leading their own projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Superintendent in managing daily operations on-site for K-12 and municipal projects.
Learn and understand project processes, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Support the coordination of subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Participate in project meetings, documenting minutes and action items for follow-up.
Help maintain compliance with safety regulations and quality standards on-site.
Contribute to the preparation of project reports and documentation.
Develop relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders to foster a collaborative work environment.
Take initiative in problem-solving and identifying areas for process improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in construction or project management is a plus, but not required.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software is a plus.
