Linux Engineer

Core4ce is seeking a highly skilled Linux Engineer to help onboard customers to Linux PaaS and IaaS models, providing guidance and support throughout the transition process.

Responsibilities
• Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements and tailor solutions to meet their needs.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain Linux-based systems and applications in a cloud environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Linux systems, networking, and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
• Work closely with the development and operations teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of customer applications.
• Create and maintain documentation for customer onboarding processes, configurations, and best practices.
• Provide training and support to customers on using Linux PaaS and IaaS services effectively.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our services.
• Use automation technologies to deliver maintainable and cost-effective solutions.

Requirements
• 5-7 years of system administrative experience.
• Strong knowledge working with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7, 8, 9) and/or familiarity with Debian based Linux distros (e.g., Ubuntu 18.x).
• Experience with deploying RHEL servers in private and hybrid cloud platforms (e.g, Azure, AWS).
• Proficiency in the Bash shell, Bourne Shell, ksh, or other newer shell scripting languages.
• Understand basic networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, SSH, ICMP). Candidates should have the ability to troubleshoot network related issues.
• Have an active Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC-1, LPIC-2, or LPIC-3) certification or an equivalent Red Hat operating system certificate (Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or Red Hat Certified Specialist in Virtualization).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, salt).
• Experience with Red Hat Identity Management (or freeipa) for centralized user and system authentication.
