Description: Our client is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer. This is a comprehensive role focused on Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. This role requires a blend of technical skills, strategic thinking, leadership, and the ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement. This job will have the following responsibilities:
Developing and communicating a vision and strategy for Lean manufacturing.
Setting expectations for a culture of continuous improvement.
Driving continuous improvement to enhance costs, quality, and service.
Identifying and facilitating process improvement projects and training/workshops.
Conducting root cause analysis to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
Carrying out data collection and analysis for process mapping and project feasibility.
Developing systematic training and implementing methodologies like 6 Sigma, 5S, Lean, and OEE.
Tracking downtime results and improving data integrity.
Providing strategic leadership and tactical planning for technical training.
Working with business leadership to prioritize process improvement opportunities.
Reviewing internal processes and procedures to detect issues and assess ROI.
Improving operating output by preventing defects and errors.
Enhancing quality standards in operating activities.
Influencing and motivating others to participate in improvement projects.
Managing process improvement projects to boost performance and productivity.
Monitoring quality of work according to the company's Quality Plan.
Ensuring regular attendance and punctuality.
Working cooperatively with others and dealing respectfully with various stakeholders.
Performing multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
Building effective teams to participate in projects aimed at eliminating waste and reducing defects.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, business or a related field.
Minimum 5 years in general management experience in a manufacturing environment.
3-5 years experience in TPM/Continuous Improvement
Strong experience leading CI programs and projects in a manufacturing plant
Ability to positively influence up, down and across in a team environment across varying skills and backgrounds
Can effectively communicate through multiple formats to various audiences
Ability to flex between strategic mindset and tactical details
