Primary Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for all maintenance inventory, ordering materials for capital projects, and general production supplies. This position will work closely with Corporate Engineering, Capital Manager, Production Manager, Maintenance Manager, and Planner.

General Responsibilities:


  • Understand and follow written and verbal work instructions
  • Must have computer skills using Microsoft Office programs Excel, Word, Outlook. Teams
  • Place orders for Maintenance inventory items using the CMMS system
  • Place orders for Capital projects using SAP system
  • Place orders for general manufacturing supplies using a P-card
  • Receive orders and deliver them to the proper locations
  • Contact vendors for outside services
  • Identify and establish new vendors
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies
  • Ensure products and quantities are accurately identified in Bins and Bundles during daily cycle counting
  • Manage day to day Manufacturing Consumables and ensure adherence to established stocking levels
  • Accurately perform cycle counts of all maintenance inventory according to schedule
  • Complete inventory adjustments and movement transactions in CMMS system
  • Ensure adherence to established Kan Ban system and visual management system for all materials
  • Ensure all items purchased have storage locations and the locations maintain 5S and KanBan expectations
  • Assist in meeting maintenance inventory and monthly / annual supply budget
  • Process RMA's and ensure material is inspected and processed timely
  • Arrange shipping for material sent to other facilities
  • Maintain all work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition at all times
  • Perform all work in a safe manner; use proper lock-out procedures when required. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and make certain that all safety equipment is in proper working order.
  • Perform these and other related duties as assigned or directed.
  • Actively participate in communication and WAVE culture


Measures of Effectiveness; including, but not limited to:


  • Safety - OSHA rate, compliance to regulations/policies, evidence of risk reduction, engagement in 8-Step Safety Process, near-miss reporting
  • Quality - Resolving customer claims and returns, ability to recognize defects and implement corrective actions
  • Productivity - Inventory levels accurate, Capital project parts delivered on time, CMMS activity and preparing parts for work orders
  • Communication - Shift handoff and line preparation, Gemba, kaizen event participation
  • Cost - Cost reduction action items implemented and adherence to budgets


Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous knowledge of maintenance terminology preferred

    • Hydraulic Systems Components: (pumps, valves, cylinders, accumulators) and their functions.
    • Electrical Components: (motors, sensors, switches, circuit breakers) and their functions.
    • Gearbox Types and Configurations: (e.g., worm, helical, bevel) and their applications.
    • Motor Types and Specifications: (AC, DC, servo, stepper), frame sizes, and interchangeability.

  • Able to lift a maximum of 40 pounds
  • Able to stand 8-10 hours per day at assigned work area
  • Preferred; Experience in a fast-paced, high performance manufacturing environment
  • Preferred; Experience with LEAN manufacturing and 6S
  • Background check required
