Job Description:

As a Compensation Partner Manager, you'll play a critical role by maintaining fair and equitable pay decisions within the most complex or technical functions of the enterprise. You will apply deep curiosity while collaborating with partners, using skills to evaluate market data, and translating information into clear, compelling and inspiring narratives. You will have excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to share knowledge of trends and best practices in the compensation space regarding assessment and research.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What you'll doBuild a rhythm to evaluate current role descriptions and/or job families on an annual basis for all positions, to continuously enhance and stay in front with market trends, including on the individual pieces as well as total compensation (STI design, commission discussions if applicable, LTI eligibility debates, etc.)Responsible for gathering and translating data to assess current market pricing to support industry competitivenessCapture external insights based on industry trends and challenge the status quoPartner with industry peers and third party resources to understand unique scenarios of the complex areas they supportCollaborate with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition to understand business trends to confidently deliver offer recommendationsOwn initial salary recommendations based on submitted job description against cross-functional internal comparators and relevant market dataProvide guidance on sign-ons (cash and equity), for "who," "what" and "when" market trends
Basic qualifications5 years of Human Resources experience or equivalent3 years of strong data analysis skills utilizing Microsoft ExcelStrong ability to translate data into actionable insights to drive decision-making
Preferred qualifications2 years of Compensation experience, including job evaluations, market analysis and compensation program development2 years of business consulting experience2 years of project management experience
