The EHS Coordinator for Nucor - NIPG Shelbyville will have responsibilities for leading our safety performance, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local safety, occupational health and environmental regulations including OSHA and VPP. This position will also be responsible for conducting training, culture building, environmental and safety management, participating in corporate initiatives, along with other duties as directed. In addition to these responsibilities, this individual will be responsible for collaborating with peer environmental and safety coordinators within Nucor Insulated Panel Group. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree related to Occupational Safety & Health/ Environmental or 3 years of experience in a related field
Proficiency with common software including, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Means and ability to travel.

Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of OSHA and EPA laws and regulations affecting the industry.
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or Environmental
ISO 14001:2015 and 45001:2018 experience.
Process Safety Management and Risk Management Plan experience.
Experience working with Safety Management Systems and standards in a manufacturing environment.
Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation and must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
