Job Description:

As a Learning and Performance Consultant I, you will be responsible for supporting the creation, development, and maintenance of learning and development programs in support of Interra's culture, strategy, and vision. Using sound instructional design methods, learner-centered design, and the application of varied modalities, position will apply Interra's learning and development framework to deliver on solutions that meet the current and future learning and development needs of the credit union.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT


-  Responsible for the design, development, and delivery of learning deliverables on role-based training and sills, including orientation, compliance, consultant, member advisor and systems training in order to enhance the sills of the workforce. Reviews training metrics to ensure that training programs have a positive business impact. Partners with manager to review training evaluation data to determine what changes are necessary to improve the impact of a workshop on individual performance and success. Programs should be interactive and engaging.
 


-  Update and maintain programs in response to changes in procedure, technology, and regulations. Supports the development, communication, and maintenance of the learning management system (LMS).
 


-  Administer learning programs and platforms to ensure a seamless learning experience. Uses a variety of software programs to develop leader guides, participant materials, job aids, on-the-go checklists, skill assessments, tests or assessments and other instructional materials.
 


-  Support learning and development needs on special projects with Interra by identifying and developing optimal learning solutions to meet job performance needs (e.g., technical/systems training).
 


-  Enhances member experience by linking core values and member service standards to training sessions. Acts as a role model for managers, supervisors, and employees. Looks for ways to increase knowledge of credit union functions in order to provide exceptional member service.
 


- Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the USA PATRIOT Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
 


WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED


Experience
 


Minimum one year of experience in supporting and delivering role-based training to front-line participants, preferably in a financial services environment. Experience in a member/customer service position in a financial services company. Demonstrated teaching ability, particularly with adult learners is required. Extensive knowledge of credit union products, services, operations, systems, and mission. Knowledge of full Training Lifecycle, including needs assessment, course design, development, implementation, and assessment.
 


Education / Certifications / Licenses


Bachelor's degree in Training, Organizational Development, or related discipline preferred.

  • Must be organized, dependable, and able to schedule, administrate, and deliver role-based learning programs.

  • Understanding of learning solutions, content development tools and methodologies, including Captivate, Articulate, Snag It, Adobe Flash, Video Editing, Podcasts, Mobile Learning desired.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook).

  • Prior experience with Learning Management System (LMS), with UltiPro a plus.

  • Intermediate writing skills and attention to detail, with demonstrated ability to develop learning content which includes participation and facilitator guides and presentation materials.

  • Ability to demonstrate credibility in role-based training as an effective subject-matter expert.

  • Demonstrate a high-level of interpersonal savvy to build relationships with participants during and beyond learning activities.

Physical Requirements
 


 



  • Able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.

  • Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

  • Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators.

  • Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.

  • Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management.

  • Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.


Working Conditions


 



  • Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.


Mental and/or Emotional Requirements


 



  • Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team.

  • Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions.

  • Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics.
