Job Summary

Responsible for managing and overseeing a team of Business Systems Analysts that analyze, design, and support the implementation of business systems and processes. The manager will work closely with various departments, including IT, Operations, and external stakeholders, to ensure that business needs are effectively translated into system requirements and that solutions are aligned with organizational goals, architectural guardrails and regulatory requirements. Guide team of systems analysts, ensuring they effectively analyze complex business and technical processes, recommend optimal solutions, and spearhead initiatives that drive process improvements, technology adoption, and system optimization.

Education & Experience

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Technology, Information Systems, Business, Healthcare or other related fields or equivalent experience
• U.S. Citizenship
• Must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation.
• Previous systems analyst role or equivalent experience
• Previous experience in people leadership, which may include supervisor or management positions
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, senior leaders and business stakeholders, to deliver IT solutions
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development and implementation
• Strong understanding of business & technical process mapping, documentation, and systems design
• Ability to facilitate and negotiate solutions across enterprise applications
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization

Preferred:

• Experience in a healthcare industry environment
• Experience working for government, or as a government subcontractor
• Experience performing data analysis, documenting data requirements, and developing technical stories
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including experience with Jira or similar tools
• Experience in managing teams in a multi-system environment
• Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements specific to the industry, such as HIPAA, PHI, PII, HITRUST, NIST, FIPS, STIGs

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Business Systems Analysts.
• Provide guidance and support to ensure the team's successful delivery of projects and initiatives.
• Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and foster a collaborative team environment. Project Management
• Oversee and manage multiple projects simultaneously in alignment with organizational priorities, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and with the highest quality.
• Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables. Business Process Analysis
• Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Work with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and compliance with government regulations.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications for system design and development.

System Design & Implementation
• Collaborate with IT teams to design, develop, and implement system solutions that meet business needs.
• Ensure that new systems or enhancements to existing systems are tested, validated, and deployed efficiently.
• Oversee the creation of documentation, including user manuals, process flows, and training materials. Stakeholder Management
• Serve as a key point of contact between business units and IT, facilitating communication and ensuring alignment on project goals and priorities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, vendors, and partners. Compliance & Quality Assurance
• Ensure that all system solutions comply with applicable regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Oversee quality assurance processes, including testing and validation, to ensure systems meet functional and regulatory requirements. Continuous Improvement
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing best practices for business analysis and system design.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure the organization remains compliant and competitive.

Team-Building / Team Player: Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make decisions to achieve desired outcomes without constant supervision.

Technical Skills: In-depth understanding of business process analysis, system design, and technology landscape. Ability to navigate and manage complex IT environments.

Working Conditions

Working Conditions:

• Works within a work from home office arrangement
• Works onsite as required within standard office working conditions, with minimal work-related travel required
• Extensive computer work with long periods of sitting
• Availability to work non-regular hours as required
• Requires DoD security clearance
• US Citizenship required

*Annual base salary for Colorado, Hawaii, Washington D.C. and Washington State residents: $140,000- $179,000 depending on experience*
