Job Title: Bilingual Litigation Assistant
Job Description: Prominent Class Action Employment Firm in Manhattan Beach seeks an experienced Bilingual Spanish Litigation Assistant to join their team. The firm specializes in cases with victims of unequal pay, discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and other unlawful conduct in the workplace. The ideal Bilingual Litigation Assistant will have strong knowledge of efiling and serving documents on a state and federal court level, translating during client meetings, preparing exhibits for trial, and maintaining office organization for client management.
Bilingual Litigation Assistant Job Duties:
* File and serve legal documents across state and federal courts
* Organize and manage electronic case files and legal documents
* Draft legal documents such as complaints, discovery, motions, and court notices, independently
* Prepare legal documents such as stipulations, hearing notices, subpoenas, proofs of service, notices of acknowledgment of receipt, deposition notices, and objections to deposition notices
* Prepare exhibits for hearings and trials, including tasks like highlighting, redacting, and citing
* Provide translation support during client meetings for depositions, mediations, and trials
* Use advanced features of MS Outlook to track and manage email, calendars, and shared task lists
Bilingual Litigation Assistant Requirements:
- Must be bilingual in Spanish
- 2-3 years of civil litigation required, with a preference towards Labor and Employment law
- Experience in class action strongly preferred
