Project Introduction:


9th Way Insignia is looking for a Business Analyst to work with the Veterans Administration (VA) to support the Office of Inspector General (OIG), requirement for comprehensive support in project management, business process reengineering, requirements analysis, and expert-level SharePoint (SP) and Power Platform (PP) subject matter expertise. This includes support from developers skilled in SharePoint architecture and implementation to support Microsoft's application lifecycle management. The work will focus on redesigning and migrating existing SharePoint on-premises applications to SharePoint Online (SPO) and the Power Platform, including the development and modernization of business processes.




Professional Level Information:


The Business Analyst position aligns as Level 3, Senior Consultant at 9th Way Insignia. A Senior Consultant completes tasks and projects of moderate scope and complexity. A Sr. Consultant exercises the best judgement and problem-solving skills within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action to execute assignments. Sr. Consultant will also provide guidance and/or lead on tasks/projects.


Responsibilities:




  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for migrating or rebuilding legacy applications within SharePoint Online (SPO) or the Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI).






  • Develop disposition recommendations for each application, identifying whether it should be migrated, rebuilt using M365 tools, or replaced with SaaS, GOTS, or COTS solutions.






  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure that all business process changes are aligned with VA-approved technology standards, TRM guidelines, and Section 508 accessibility requirements.






  • Support the phased implementation of solutions, ensuring minimal disruption during migrations, and assisting in managing project dependencies.






  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership to ensure the successful delivery of Human-Centered Design solutions that optimize user experience and business functionality.






  • Use Agile methodology to guide projects through iterative improvements, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to stakeholder needs.




Requirements:




  • Bachelor's degree. 8 additional years of directly relevant experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.






  • 6+ years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and process reengineering,. Preferably within large-scale IT or digital transformation projects.






  • Proven experience working with SharePoint Online (SPO) and Microsoft 365 (M365) Power Platform tools (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI).






  • Demonstrated expertise in business process redesign and technology-driven optimization projects.






  • Experience in leading or supporting cloud migrations, particularly migrating on-premises applications to cloud-based platforms.






  • Strong understanding of SharePoint and Power Platform technologies and their role in business process automation and transformation.






  • Proficiency in using business analysis tools such as Microsoft Visio, Jira, or similar tools to document workflows, processes, and requirements.






  • Familiarity with Agile project management and Human-Centered Design principles.






  • Knowledge of Section 508 compliance and the ability to ensure accessibility in solutions.





Preferred/Desired:




  • One or more of the following:






  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar business analysis certifications (Preferred).






  • Relevant Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate (Preferred).




Salary Range:


The salary range for this position is $60,069 - $85,000.00
