Have working knowledge and ability to perform skilled work as a mechanic or electrician to maintain and troubleshoot plant equipment. Demonstrate competence and knowledge of safety rules and practices. Demonstrate good communication skills with various levels within the organization. Have the basic knowledge to read and understand blue prints and procedures.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Knowledge to maintain and troubleshoot process/plant equipment
Perform preventive/routine maintenance compressors, fork trucks, oilers, and filters
Ability to repair and troubleshoot 3 phase 480v
Ability to repair and troubleshoot process controls - PLC & instrumentation controls
Accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices
Read and understand blueprints
Semi-skilled in: work as machinist, electrician, HVAC technician
Perform complete start-up of production run
Perform form tooling and shear maintenance
Setup drum and shear tools during changeovers
Troubleshoot and maintain production equipment
Drum stand removal & installation
Drum wheel, extrusion die and lip change
Semi-skilled in: welding, plumbing, carpentry
Works 12 hour shifts standing on concrete
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis
Go up steps periodically throughout the day
Work in the heat
Performs other designated duties of the quality system as assigned.
Operate powered industrial trucks and lifts
EDUCATION:
Preferred: Degree in Industrial technology
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 3 years' experience in maintenance production machinery.
SKILLS:
Required: Basic knowledge of extrusion, vacuum systems, material transfer, air systems, preventative maintenance, safety equipment, fork trucks, & plumbing
