Job Description:


BASIC FUNCTION

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of WEOKIE Federal Credit Union’s overall marketing strategy that supports the overall goals of the credit union as laid out by the board and executive leadership. Assists Director of Marketing in developing, executing, and reporting of annual product promotion calendar and social media content calendar. Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES

1)Assist in the creation of marketing campaigns, including copywriting and graphic design. Implement design elements of the marketing plan, including the design and distribution of advertising materials, marketing brochures, and in-branch collateral materials. This could include videos, graphics, and copy specific to products, services, promotions, trainings, etc.

2)Assist with social media strategies that align with WEOKIE’s culture, brand vision and promise, as well as credit union goals and implement as directed. Manage day to day operations and monitoring of credit union’s social media communities. Serve as content creator for social media channels. Collaborate with marketing team to create strategies and goals for growth on social media.

3) Support the Marketing Department by organizing and monitoring marketing materials to maintain adequate inventory. Fulfills branch and staff requests for marketing materials. Provides additional support to other members of the Marketing Department as needed.

4) Have a strong knowledge of credit union products and services. Work with other departments across the organization to promote products, services, and initiatives, and to compete projects. Analyze existing membership information and market trends to

identify ways to reach potential and existing members and enhance member relationships.

5) Perform other duties as assigned, i.e. reporting, budgeting, etc. Ensures proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed. Reports gaps in policies, procedures, and operating controls to leadership to ensure member impact and risk is mitigated.

1)Execute responsibilities with minimal errors according to established marketing department standards and within budget.

2)Achieve planned market share, assets, loans, and other product/service objectives.

3)Provide effective assistance to the marketing team in planning and implementing marketing strategies and promotions.

4)Conduct accurate and thorough market analysis, making appropriate conclusions and recommendations.

5)Successful contribution to meeting WFCU’s growth objectives.

6)Communicating effectively with management in a timely and appropriate manner, submitting required reports by established deadlines.

7)Provide informed, professional, and accurate services and support to all members and internal staff while maintaining a positive image for WFCU.

QUALIFICATIONS

A.Specialized or Technical Knowledge and Skills:

1)A Bachelor’s Degree is required in either marketing, advertising, or communications and/or minimum of 1 to 3 years of related experience.

2)Strong organizational skills (planning and prioritizing) and communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) are critical

3)Handson experience with graphic design, content creation, copywriting, and use of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft products, and Asana Project Management Platform. Experience with HubSpot programing also preferred.

4)Must be detail-oriented, with an ability to work independently, under pressure, and within moving deadlines.

5)Ability to blend technical and creative skills from a business point of view to provide seamless support of department initiatives.

6)Ability to represent WEOKIE professionally, interact effectively and deliver engaging presentations to various audiences, including members, business

partners, and employees articulate the Credit Union movement, the WEOKIE

difference, the WEOKIE brand, and the benefits of WEOKIE products and services that result in deeper and more meaningful relationships.

7)Ability to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends.

8)Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required.
