Job Description Summary

With direction from senior International Sales staff, the incumbent will help cover existing FX relationships as well as cultivate new ones in the Commercial and Business Banking portfolio as well as grow FX knowledge with internal contacts.  Candidate will also be responsible for backing up trading desk team on day to day flows as needed. 

What You’ll Do

• 
  FX Business Development:  Working within the International Services Sales team, assist with cross selling Wintrust’s FX Products to existing and prospective clients throughout the commercial and business banking groups assigned.  Role includes actively cultivating relationships with bankers to understand current portfolios and how to best expand product penetration as well as presenting new possible leads.


• 
  FX Desk Coverage/Backup:  Candidate is expected to be proficient as back up in managing day to day flow coverage from trading desk perspective including pricing transactions from manual channels, incoming wires, forwards, swaps and more.  Includes keeping clients up to date via commentaries and conversations on current market conditions.


• 
  IBFX Online Portal Client Onboarding and Implementation: Assist with product  demonstrations and conduct product implementations to customers and prospects.  Presentations must be customized based on the product, company and potential usage patterns.  Provide feedback to Sales and FX Ops team for product enhancements and user experience.


• 
  Sales Pipeline Maintenance: Assist with the client pipeline updates and maintenance to properly reflect earned FX revenues throughout the bank, and other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Background/Experience

• 5+ years experience in commercial banking with International products



• Experience with foreign exchange concepts and products and/or international payments




• Customer service experience with bank and corporate client bases




• Ability to work independently, while establishing strong working relationships with other areas of the Bank




• Strong knowledge of FX market fundamentals, trading systems and common daily workflows




• Moderate travel 10-50%
