Program Managers lead, manage, and drive all aspects of the customer service relationship for Hunt Valve with designated shipyard customers that support US Navy and Coast Guard vessel deployment. Management of valve programs includes major interfaces of engineering, procurement, and shop floor operations. Customers of Hunt Valve also includes direct US government entities, including the Defense Land Agency & NAVSUP. Internal job functions include managing across functional teams of personnel covering, scheduling, planning, and other functions to drive schedule adherence and on-time delivery to all customers.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Support the customer service strategy for Hunt Valve by working closely with scheduling, manufacturing, operations, and program management peers, acting as the voice of the customer primarily within the Salem, OH facility.
Develop relationships within the procurement departments of assigned customers with emphasis on customer buy assigned to the Hunt Valve account. Ensure the necessary Hunt Valve employees at all levels of the organization are engaged and active with customers as required to exceed customer expectations.
Own and manage updates and tracking with customers on active contracts including but not limited to creation and management of project schedules, engineering documentation, material availability and project invoicing.
Drive program issues to resolution by tracking and ensuring that all customer inquiries are addressed in a timely manner.
Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively identify areas of improvement.
Work across boundaries within Hunt Valve to ensure that Hunt Valve is going above and beyond for its customers.
Conduct reviews that drill down into challenges that arise, develop corrective actions, and communicate impacts and corrective actions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Prior experience (5+ years) in project management or operations management.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build long lasting, trusting relationships with customers.
Candidates must have a passion for customer focus and strive to achieve a high level of both internal and external customer satisfaction.
Ensure the necessary customer support is consistently completed correctly and on time.
Strong program/project management skills required with the ability to not only track performance, but to develop strategic program plans, implement and execute.
Extreme attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is critical. Excellent organizational skills and proactive in management of projects and tasks.
Excellent skills in customer service, project management, negotiations, problem solving, contracts and finance. Skilled in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions on programs to internal and external representatives.
Ability to develop excellent working relationships with co-workers, and team members by generating trust, confidence and credibility. Ownership for the success/failure of the team.
Ability to absorb and constructively utilize feedback from superiors, subordinates, customers and peers.
Experience creating and delivering executive level communications: internal and external.

Solid grasp of information technology fundamentals, and ability to leverage technical analysis, presentation, project management, and financial tools.
Working Knowledge of MS Project, Excel, Word, Power-Point.
Experience working in DoD environment and government contracting; prior work as a program manager or with the Navy a plus.
Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
Usual office working conditions with the mix of a production environment.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in a Science or Business-related field from an accredited institution
PMP certification is highly recommended
