Summary
DLA Piper is seeking a Senior Attorney to join its Litigation Group. This position is not on the partnership track and is open to the Atlanta, GA office.

Responsibilities
Work closely with team and clients to develop and execute effective litigation strategies
Conduct legal research
Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
Conduct depositions
Handle all aspects of discovery, trial preparation, mediation, and settlement negotiations
Experience
Minimum of 4+ years of complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts including product liability, complex tort, negligence, class actions and consumer fraud.
Significant experience handling litigation and pre-litigation matters in state and federal court in Georgia in addition to having a working knowledge of the relevant benches and the civil dispute bar in Atlanta.
Previous state court or federal clerkship a plus but not required.

Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
