Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
Understand job ticket information to determine quantity, special work instructions, and any other special customer requirements
Determine the best manufacturing method to produce product efficiently and effectively
Stage material and supplies needed to run production job
Set up equipment in a timely manner, as needed
Assist the operator with maintaining high production efficiencies according to established rates during operation of the assigned equipment
Be competent in the tasks required to be able to move between all folder gluer and finishing equipment and shifts to fill for vacation and absences as needed
Perform feed and/or delivery tasks on various pieces of finishing equipment
Troubleshoot and make decisions regarding the quality of finished product
Complete required quality inspections and paperwork
Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance
Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of the assigned press and surrounding area
Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements
Actively participate in lean manufacturing initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors

Mechanical aptitude
Education/Certification
High school diploma or equivalent desired but not required.
