We are seeking a dedicated FSQA Technician responsible for performing physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems. The ideal candidate will accurately document and calculate results, take corrective action when necessary, and report findings to management. This role requires a keen focus on safety, encompassing both personal and food safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems.
Document inspection results accurately and calculate necessary data.
Take immediate corrective action by alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, and identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products.
Report inspection results to management in a timely manner.
Complete any additional assignments as requested.
Maintain a strong commitment to safety, including personal and food safety practices.
Requirements:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Fresh Meats industry or other QA-related experience required
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Special Skills:
Proficient in completing Tyson paperwork.
Strong leadership abilities, with the capability to lead by example and motivate hourly workers.
Effective problem identification and problem-solving skills.
Strong math and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
Ability to function well under stress and adapt to changing work environments.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects (70 lbs. or more).
