This application is for a 6-month student role from January - June 2025. Resume review begins in October 2024. 

As a member of the Asset Development & Portfolio Management team (ADPM), the Portfolio Planning Systems Analyst works with operations staff to improve planning practices (program scheduling, employee resource forecasting, and cost forecasting) through data-based insights and the development of effective performance measures. 

The role entails collecting and analyzing complex data from multiple systems, distilling results into clear insights about process gaps and opportunities, and developing effective communications to motivate action toward better planning measures and performance.

Position Description 

The role includes, but is not limited to: 


  • Establishing processes for collecting and reporting data to measure portfolio planning and performance effectiveness  

  • Discover data quality issues and assist in identifying root causes, suggesting corrective actions, and deploying solutions 

  • Assist ADPM Operations in identifying and addressing opportunities where ADPM can plan more effectively (continuous improvement) 

Qualifications

Required Skills  


  • Ability to use data applications - spreadsheets, analysis tools, graphics/visualization tools 

  • Ability to communicate effectively through dialogue, writing, and presentations 

Preferred Skills 


  • Project scheduling fundamentals 

  • Database fundamentals 

To participate in the Biogen Internship Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria: 


  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. 

  • At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date 

  • Be currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college or university 

Education 

Bachelors and Masters Degree candidates
