The Partnership Engagement team serves the various business divisions of Learfield, with the goal of empowering our internal team to tell our company story/value proposition in compelling and relevant ways to Learfields current and potential university partners. Through strategic storytelling strategies, partner presentations and other strategic communications vehicles, the division reinforces Learfields leadership position in connecting brands to fans through innovative digital and technology platforms, data analytics, brand management and marketing, and original content and media products, all with a rich legacy and deep understanding of sports, events, and entertainment.

The Marketing Specialist I will assist in the development of marketing and communications efforts primarily for AMPLIFY, Learfields ticketing, development, and seating business, also offering support to Learfields Sports Properties division. While primarily serving these two business units, there will also be opportunities to assist in storytelling efforts for Learfields other business units.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and assist in the management of the end-to-end process for presentation development, RFP responses, newsletter development, and other tasks including:
    • Manage Processes: Implementation of processes to ensure strong strategic messaging, as well as ensuring all milestones are met both individually and amongst internal stakeholders.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including corporate executives, division leadership, account teams, legal, and finance, to gather necessary information and resources.
    • Strategic Storytelling: Once information is compiled from various stakeholders, assist in the development of strategy and creation of communication tools to effectively articulate the organizations value proposition, both in written and visual formats.
    • Timeline Management: Establish and manage project timelines, ensuring all milestones are met both individually and amongst internal stakeholders.
    • Content Management: Maintain and update a repository of content, templates, and best practices for future projects.
    • Post-Project Knowledge Transfer: Manage distribution and communication of agreed-upon contractual assets to account teams post-project.
    • Seek/Maintain Industry Knowledge: Seek and maintain high-level of industry knowledge, overall Learfield organizational knowledge, and business unit-specific knowledge to effectively consult on projects.
    • Continuous Improvement: Assist in the analysis of past project outcomes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices for the future.
    • Visual Design: Design visually engaging and cohesive projects that effectively communicate complex ideas through compelling storytelling while maintaining Learfield brand standards.
    • Technology Expertise: Stay updated on the latest presentation software and tools, leveraging technology to enhance the effectiveness of presentations.
  • Provide support on various tasks for the Partner Engagement Department, as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of creative storytelling that outlines the enterprise messaging and value proposition to help create a thoughtful sales narrative for current and prospective university partners, with significant focus and management of the RFP proposal process from inception to execution, ensuring the messaging strategy is met and all aspects of the RFP requirements are met.
  • Provide creative guidance and execution to projects ensuring consistent and effective messaging, branding, graphic design, promotional materials, and presenting copy
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, both internally with various departments and across the various Learfield business lines, to ensure a strong value proposition for our university partners
  • Assist with outbound/inbound marketing activities by displaying knowledge in certain areas such as meeting planning, content creation and reporting to create the value proposition for our school partners
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a marketing/communications or partnership activation role for a sports organization, college, or related industry
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
  • Solid understanding of communications strategies, including emerging technologies and social/non-traditional media
  • Must have strong attention-to-detail and sense of project ownership
  • Must be able to work independently, manage competing priorities, think strategically, collaborate or escalate as necessary and execute in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Must possess a high degree of integrity and trust in interpersonal interactions and maintain strict confidentiality
  • A passion for serving and helping others should be evident in work and reflected in outstanding people influencing skills
  • Ability to travel to company events, meetings, and customer engagements, less than 10% of the time
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), and proficient with Mac OS platform
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field preferred
