Description

Qualis Corporation is looking for a Systems Instrumentation Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME). The position provides technical advice and assistance in the modernization of the Eglin Test range's instrumentation. Basic knowledge of telemetry systems and RF spectrum monitoring systems is required as well as an understanding of the Eglin test range architecture and concepts of operations.

Duties include:

• Provide advice and assistance services in support of range instrumentation acquisition efforts.

• Provide inputs to, consolidate, review, coordinate and track acquisition documentation.

• Provide inputs to the Government for use in the development of acquisition plans, RFPs, PWSs and other pre- proposal source selection related documents.

• Provide inputs to lot and unit acceptance test plans including providing advice and assistance for the implementation of such test plans.

• Provide advice and assistance in providing documentation relating to the installation of acquired telemetry systems.

• Provide advice and assistance services in support of component replacement efforts for telemetry systems.

• Advise and assist in all aspects of modification of telemetry systems.

• Advise and assist in the installation of transmitting and receiving equipment for aircraft flight testing.

• Provide support for the operation of the Advance Command Destruct System (ACDS) during live missile launches noting issues with its performance and possible future improvements for follow-on operations and equipment software.

• Develop test procedures to be used for the troubleshooting of equipment failures that haven't been experienced in the past.

• Support the build-up and testing of new ACDS equipment and directional antennas to be located on the Gulf Range Extension.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance as required.
