Job Description:

ACR Technology Services (ACRTS) supports all business units and companies under the ACR name. The department follows a Plan, Build, Run structure as follows:

Plan/Architecture - This team manages the overall enterprise architecture, identifies new technologies, and innovation. As solutions become hardened and part of the approved architecture, they are owned by the build organization
Build/Delivery - this team owns the entire productive technology landscape including application, infrastructure/security, and development. This team implements the technologies and is responsible for continuous improvement of all technologies
Run/Support - this team manages the daily support or running of the delivered technologies and includes applications and infrastructure/security

This role works to define and lead the end-to-end processes to bring data from acquired companies' system(s) into standard ACR defined system(s) leveraging repeatable, scalable, and expeditious methods. The Senior Data Integration Engineer is responsible for data conversion planning, data conversion execution, data conversion testing, data validation, and the advancement of data conversion methodologies and practices. This role is focused on execution and continuous improvement within the context of projects and will work closely with IT and User Community personnel from both the acquired company as well as ACR.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform analyses of varied source and target systems and their data models as well as the data contained therein to facilitate effective data extraction, data transformation, and data loading from legacy systems to go forward systems
Identify and document data conversion requirements
Strategize and design methods for effective reusable, and repeatable data conversion processes up to and through sunsetting the source platform(s)
Work closely with IT development organization to implement data conversion designs
Participate in the execution and testing of defined data conversion processes
Identify and solution for data anomalies
Work with stakeholders to understand data elements and perform data validation resulting from conversion activities
Responsible for definition and continuous improvement of data conversion processes, best practices and methodologies for ACR
Develop business acumen related to Master Data, Transactional Data, and general business processing to enable effective discussions with non-technical personnel
Effectively assists in defining data conversion project tasks and data conversion project task timelines and execute against the same
Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related work experience
5+ years of performing data extraction, data transformation, and data loading from legacy system(s) to go forward systems.
Solid ability to dissect large and small relational databases and find and understand relations from one table to other(s).
Proven leadership experience in designing mechanisms for and performing data conversions from varied source systems/files of data including ERP, Accounting, Customer Relationship, Manufacturing, and Warehouse and Transportation Management Systems, MS Access, Excel to appropriate destination system(s) databases.
Technical skills to include:

AS/400 based ERP; preferably S2K, or JDA or similar
Exceptional Database Structure knowledge and Database Management
Strong knowledge of SQL writing and performing complex queries
Ability to work with ftp/sftp
Writing and performing complex SQL queries
Access, FileMaker, Excel, XML, Java or like technology

Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
IT experience in Distribution and/or Manufacturing industries
Strong written and verbal communication skills, articulate and effective communicator and presenter, able to describe complex problems and solutions in simple or understandable terms
Ability to consider upstream and downstream process impacts and implications
Ability to establish and manage priorities in a high change environment
Proven ability to execute swiftly without compromising quality
Demonstrates technical and business acumen skills and exhibits professional maturity in representing the department in business discussions

OTHER COMPETENCIES

Successful virtual work environment experience requiring highly independent, detail-oriented, and self-motivation and experience with Microsoft Office and MS Teams.
Change Management. Ability to personally flex and adapt and lead change effectively within an evolving professional environment.
Effective communication skills. Adept at oral communication, listening, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
Inclination to share knowledge. Continually educate and update the ACR business functions and IT departments
Busy Savviness. Ability to speak in business terms translating technical concepts into business terminology.
Service Mindset. Excellent customer service skills, real-time communication, simplify complexity in communication.

SKILL LEVEL ASSESSMENT
Requires comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles. Performs complex tasks typically following established processes. Capable of leading and directing the work of other employees as required. Typically requires a bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience.
