Starting pay- $20.69 with generous overtime offered
Shifts-
1st shift- 6am-4pm or 6:30am-4:30pm
2nd shift- 2pm-10pm
3rd shift- 8pm-6am or 8:30pm-6:30am
Summary of Responsibilities:
Perform any and all packaging duties as assigned by the Packaging Supervisor. Employees are responsible for understanding and complying with the Current Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety guidelines to ensure that quality food products are manufactured in a sanitary production environment and delivered with superior protection to our customers and consumers.
General Responsibilities:
Assist in setting up for production and changeovers.
Interact with manufacturing concerning string and bulk quality production concerns.
Unwrap improperly sealed cheese and re-feed. (rejects/ #2's)
Report all questionable product and/or foreign material in product to Team Leader.
Utilize SPC charting for weight and quality checks.
Observe all safety rules, work rules and procedures.
Know all clean-up procedures and chemical handling procedures. Operate and maintain foamer.
Other duties as may be assigned due to short-term, unforeseen manufacturing changes or needs.
Required Attributes
GMP's (good manufacturing practices) are mandated by the FDA and established in order to ensure food products are manufactured under sanitary conditions. All employees must be willing and able to comply with GMP's as outlined in the plant GMP policy.
Must be able to read, comprehend, and execute tasks in a compliant manner as outlined in related policies, programs, SOP's, etc.
Demonstrates initiative and strong interpersonal, communication, and team skills.
Focuses on Saputo's vision and goals and considers the best interest of Saputo and its employees, customers, and patrons while performing job duties.
Demonstrates professionalism and positively represents and promotes Saputo at all times.
Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance
Demonstrates ability to work in a coordinated and cooperative manner in a team setting with team goals.
Demonstrates ability to read and understand production and packaging schedule and packaging verification reports.
Visually inspect product for quality.
Capable of working with little or no supervision.
Threshold exposure to chemicals, i.e., alkalines, acids, sanitizers, alcohol formulations and resins.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); equivalent combination of education and experience
