Our client, a boutique law firm in Carlsbad, is seeking a motivated, organized, and positive individual to join their team as a Legal Administrative Assistant. This full-time, onsite role supports lead Paralegals in the Non-Judicial Foreclosure Department with various tasks in a fast-paced environment, requiring excellent communication, organizational skills, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with Non-Judicial Foreclosure actions, including preparing and recording liens and Notices of Default.
Review and update delinquent owner's accounting ledgers, calculating late fees and interest charges.
Prepare, review, and finalize demand letters.
Perform title searches and online research.
Use billing and calendaring systems.
Research potential active bankruptcy cases.
Prepare and transmit documents for recording.
Perform other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
2 years of experience in a law firm, banking institution, accounting, or collections firm preferred.
High school diploma required; Paralegal Certificate highly desired.
Strong knowledge of MS Office.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Quick learner capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
