Business System Analyst - Enrollment Management at St. Norbert College

Job Description:

St. Norbert College (SNC), a nationally-ranked, private, Catholic, liberal arts college is seeking a Business System Analyst for Enrollment Management. This position involves identifying business and system requirements, participating in the design and development of new solutions, and optimizing existing systems. The Business System Analyst will translate business needs into functional requirements for enterprise applications and collaborate with users to implement and support these systems. As the primary Slate Captain, they will manage all technical and operational aspects of Slate, ensuring best practices and data security. Additionally, they will serve as the backup leader for the enrollment operations team.



Specific responsibilities:



  • Analyze business processes, identify needs, gather requirements and designs, test and deploy solutions to support new and existing programs and applications, system integrations, business intelligence and general system maintenance and troubleshooting.




  • Serve as the functional/technical expert for the enrollment management office by analyzing business processes, identifying needs, determining requirements and writing specifications to increase usability and enhance the efficiency of operating systems both within Admissions and for the college as a whole where Slate is concerned.




  • Serve as the technical point of contact for any third-party vendors, consultants, or external entity that houses admission data.




  • Serve as the department lead and liaison for improving incoming student experiences across all departments on campus including but not limited to Financial Aid; Student Success; Athletics; Advancement; Registrar; ITS; etc.




  • Train and provide first-level support to core and end-users on the functional processes and procedures within our core systems for all users across campus.




  • Serve as a divisional delegated administrator for Slate upgrades and enhancements. This includes reading release notes, and developing and executing test plans.




  • Write and maintain clear documentation of the enrollment management systems setup, requirements, testing processes, maintenance, troubleshooting, and procedures. This also includes providing end-users the release guides and an overview of what is included within each release.




  • Develop and maintain strong communication with other core systems stewards and coordinators, particularly the financial aid business analyst. Actively participate in cross functional working groups and committees for operational issues from the functional perspective.




  • Oversee divisional security standards, data and compliance for the entire college campus. Regularly review protocols to ensure data remains safe and each department on campus is only privy to the bare minimum needed.





Required Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree




  • Experience in higher education preferred.




  • 3-5 years of analyst experience




  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse campus environment or commitment to do so as an employee of St. Norbert College.




  • Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) systems (preferably Slate), Banner and Smartsheet.




  • Knowledge of website CSS and secure.force.com web pages.




  • Knowledge of report writing programs and concepts.




  • Ability to interact professionally with coworkers and customers, particularly in conflict situations.




  • Ability to communicate politely and resolve customer service issues.




  • Ability to multitask, meet specific deadlines and prioritize tasks and assignments.




  • Skilled in basic math computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.




  • Knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Office, Google Apps) and ability to learn upgrades and new programs as needed.




  • Ability to exercise good judgement and decisions in an expeditious manner.




  • Skilled at setting a good example for others.




  • Skilled at organizing events, programs, projects and seeing them through to completion.
