Overview:
This role encompasses the area of customs compliance and is responsible for the daily management of all cross-border imports and exports with decorating partners in Mexico.
Weekly Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10AM - 6PM
Responsibilities:
Performs data entry for daily and monthly production reports
Completes and monitors all Logistics paperwork for good being transported from the Border Warehouse to all decoration facility(s) in Mexico
Manages approximately 420 export and 420 import shipments/year
Works with US forwarders to complete export documentation and file Shippers Export Declaration (SED)
Creates shipment files and collects and retains all documentation as required under CBP and BIS regulations
Executes internal US Customs entry audits to ensure that the broker is accurately reporting transaction data to Customs
Reconciles imported merchandise against previously exported merchandise to ensure that GFS clearly demonstrates that merchandise imported under the "Repair & Alteration" provision was previously imported into the US
Implements and manages security procedures required for C-TPAT certification
Ensures file keeping of the Logistics paperwork for 1 year
Receives items into Oracle.
Ensures received items are entered and tracked via spreadsheet.
Moves items to heat treated pallets.
Monitors inventory for all suppliess
Maintains and understands company and departmental policies and procedures
Plans monthly schedule for north and southbound shipments
Helps receive and release trailers to and from Nearshore.
Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience with Customs import / export
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word & Outlook
Ability to develop proficiency with Oracle and Discoverer
Ability to cover all shifts as required
