FishEye Software is in search of an experienced Senior Systems Engineer with exceptional problem-solving skills to join our team working on the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) program. This defense initiative significantly enhances Anti-Air Warfare (AAW) capabilities, facilitating the seamless exchange of radar data between various naval assets. Please note, this position is on-site only, with up to 10% business travel, and is not eligible for remote work.
As a key contributor to our team, you will engage in the integration, testing, and validation of complex radar software within a sophisticated system of systems. You will be responsible for ensuring requirement traceability and decomposition, conducting software testing and analysis, and preparing key documentation such as system models, performance benchmarks, test reports, and technical briefings for our customers. Additionally, you'll contribute to the development of Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and system design, perform algorithm optimization, and participate in research and development activities, including trade studies to introduce advanced features to fielded systems.
The CEC program brings together cutting-edge hardware and software to streamline the flow of radar data concerning aerial threats across naval platforms. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless software integration, helping to provide a unified and accurate display of tactical information.
This position requires an active DOD Secret Clearance.
Required Skills
B.S./M.S. degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field from an accredited institution
8+ years of experience in systems engineering, including integration and testing of complex systems
Strong problem-solving abilities, with the ability to work independently
Experience with requirement traceability and decomposition
Proficiency in software testing, data analysis, and system validation
Experience working with radar systems or similar defense systems
Familiarity with system modeling and documentation preparation, including system models, performance benchmarks, and test reports
Hands-on experience with integration and testing in a system-of-systems environment
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and related practices (Scrum, CI/CD)
Desired Skills
Experience with radar systems, such as Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC)
Proficiency in Python, C++, and MATLAB
Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and system modeling languages like UML or SysML
Familiarity with algorithm optimization and trade studies for advanced system features
Experience with tools such as DOORS, Rhapsody, or MagicDraw for system modeling
Exposure to verification and validation processes for defense systems
