Associate Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description:

The Role:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for working with production team for solving problems, implementing improvements, developing standard methods and support instrumentation operations team at Entegris, Chandler Facility. Primary focus will be on Safety, service level, quality, and agility of manufacturing products along with process improvement.

In this role you will:

• Evaluate existing processes and implement new process /technique or solutions to improved product quality and product flow within the plant

• Works with production personnel to attain 100% on-time shipping performance by assisting with quality issues, bottlenecks, and providing round-the shift support.

• Assist 8D problem solving Teams in failure analysis, root cause investigation, and corrective / preventative action activities

• Lead development of PFMEA for existing & new product development projects.

• Assist in data gathering, process qualifications & validations activities for NPD projects

• Create assembly instruction, standard operating procedures & tool maintenance schedules.

• Participate in MRB discussions & complete assigned actions on regular basis.

• Promote and implement use of continuous improvement tools to eliminate non-value-added activities 

• Lead projects and ensure all internal and external stakeholder re

• Initiate and lead Six sigma projects on key business processes to improve customer satisfaction, eliminate waste and reduce cost

• Assist in BOM corrections, routing updates and other SAP related data maintenance activities at plant level.

• Follows and ensures compliance to departmental procedures

Traits we believe make a strong candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree with 1 - 3 years of professional experience in manufacturing Environment.

• Ability to lift 25 lbs., climb a ladder up to 15 ft. and walk and stand during entire shift.  

• Good visual ability to detect quality defects and work in a manufacturing environment.

• Basic understanding of Bill of materials, routings, and ability to read drawings.

• Good Communication and organizational skills

• Experience with Microsoft Word, power point, excel and SAP ERP System

• Ability to present data to all levels of the organization.

• Ability to collaborate with cross functional departments such as product engineering, quality & engineering on assigned projects.

• Understand concepts like Six sigma, lean, 8D, FMEA & SPC by enrolling in Entegris ACES Level 1 training classes.

• Ability to own ECR/ ECO process & other master data related changes in Sap at plant level.
