Job Summary: As an Entry-Level Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a vital role in our finance department by ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. This position is ideal for someone looking to start their career in accounting within the logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness.
Process vendor payments in a timely manner.
Maintain organized and up-to-date records of invoices and payment transactions.
Assist with month-end closing activities, including reconciliations.
Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and discrepancies.
Collaborate with team members to streamline accounts payable processes.
Support other accounting tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or finance preferred.
Basic understanding of accounts payable and general accounting principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
