Associate Professor or Professor of Business or Economics and Chair of the Division of Business and Enterprise

The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown invites applications for a full-time position as Associate Professor or Professor of Economics or Business (depending on qualifications) and also Chair of the Division of Business and Enterprise. Responsibilities:

Responsibilities for this position are similar to a Dean of Business and include directing programs in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Management, and Marketing; supervising faculty and staff; managing the divisional budget; and serving as a member of Pitt Johnstown’s academic leadership. The Division Chairperson also teaches two courses per semester in his or her area of expertise. Reporting directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Division Chairperson is also a liaison to external stakeholders.

Qualifications include:

• An earned doctorate in Economics or a Business field supportive of the Division’s mission

• An established record of scholarly productivity consistent with appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor at Pitt-Johnstown

• At least five years of academic administrative experience in higher education that includes responsibilities such as hiring and mentoring faculty, curriculum development, program review and assessment, and managing budgets.
