The Department of Computer Science at Stanford University invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the junior level (Assistant or untenured Associate Professor).


We are seeking applicants from all areas of Computer Science, spanning theoretical foundations, systems, software, and applications. We are also interested in applicants doing research at the frontiers of Computer Science with other disciplines, including but certainly not limited to those in the engineering, mathematical, medical, physical, and social sciences. We give higher priority to the overall originality and promise of the candidate's work than to the candidate's sub-area of specialization within Computer Science. Applicants must have completed (or be completing) a Ph.D., must have demonstrated the ability to pursue a program of research, and must have a strong commitment to graduate and undergraduate teaching. A successful candidate will be expected to teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and to build and lead a team of graduate students in Ph.D. research.

The expected base pay range for this position is:


Assistant Professor: $138,477 - $155,643


Associate Professor (untenured): $152,325 - $184,845
