SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Field Marketing Associate’s primary responsibility is coordinating offline activations for the Company. This role will prioritize day-to-day planning, oversight, and execution of our grassroots field marketing program. The Field Marketing Associate will become an expert in both the brand and product, and in turn communicate, educate and sell to enthusiasts, consumers and partners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Day-to-day coordination of Nathan Sports field marketing program including grassroots activations at sports events, retail pop-ups, consumer shows, trade shows, community events and more
  • Effectively communicate with event partners to complete an engaging and valuable activation
  • Learn about products extensively and pitch to consumers from both a marketing and sales perspective
  • Maintain and track field marketing budget and communication processes; follow-up, analyze, and report on results; and make recommendations for program optimization
  • Support photo and video shoots with logistics and production assistance
  • Serve as lead on sourcing local runners to test and review new products
  • Work with brand, social and creative teams to identify and coordinate field content opportunities
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing to meet deadlines
  • Be comfortable with consistent travel, remote and in-person work. Ready to be on-the-go and immersed in the running and sports culture

POSITION SPECIFICS:

  • This is a full-time position
  • Typical work hours vary for this role based on event & time zone. Work will also be expected on many weekends (for attending promotional events, etc.)
  • This position is expected to travel approximately 70-75% of the time
  • Must have a valid Driver License with clean driving record

PAY TRANSPARENCY:

  • The Company is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
  • The salary range for this role in Fountain Valley, CA is $ 65,000 – $75,000
  • In addition, you may be eligible for additional compensation, such as a bonus. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, including health & wellness benefits, retirement, time off, employee discounts, and others.


Qualification:

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a field marketing role, passionate about event management
  • Familiarity with sports, interest to work in the running industry
  • Must be team-oriented, dedicated and collaborative
  • Comfortable speaking in front of large groups of people and representing company interests to outside parties in a positive manner
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Passionate about attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and personal accountability with the ability to work independently
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and especially PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with social media publishing platforms and project management systems (Microsoft Teams, Slack, HootSuite, WorkFront, etc.) a bonus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Candidate must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with ability to: be in a stationary position 50% of the time; occasionally move about inside the office to access fine cabinets, office machinery (such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, etc.); constantly operate a computer; occasionally ascend/descend stairs; constantly position self to maintain files in file cabinets; the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations; the ability to observe details at close range (within a few feed of the observer); and frequently move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds across office for various needs. Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions if projects/opportunities arise. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
