RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a CRE Portfolio Manager in Morristown, NJ.

Summary:
The Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of loans, primarily focusing on loans headed for workout. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in commercial real estate lending, a strong understanding of risk management, and the ability to work collaboratively with borrowers and brokers to prevent loans from entering workout classification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of commercial real estate loans, ensuring adherence to risk management guidelines and maintaining loan performance


• Collaborate with borrowers and brokers to develop strategies that keep loans out of workout status


• Monitor loan performance and proactively identify potential risks or issues within the portfolio


• Provide detailed reporting on portfolio performance and loan status to senior management


• Mentor and coach junior staff members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development


• Analyze financial statements and market data to assess borrower performance and make informed recommendations


• Maintain strong relationships with borrowers, brokers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and problem-solving


• Stay updated on market trends and regulatory changes affecting the commercial real estate landscape

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field


• Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial real estate lending or portfolio management, preferably with a smaller bank


• Proven experience with R-rated loans or worse and understanding of risk management strategies to avoid workout situations


• Strong analytical skills with experience in financial statement analysis and market research


• Excellent reporting and communication skills


• Ability to coach and mentor junior team members effectively


• A proactive and results-oriented approach to problem-solving and relationship management

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
