POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Administrator works in partnership with the Project Management team to

provide support on the day-to-day processes related to managing company projects. The

Project Administrator works under direct supervision only as needed and participates in a

variety of project management activities, to include managing subcontracts, submittals, change

orders, production tracking, etc.

YOUR ROLE

• Draft pre-construction documents (subcontracts, submittals, schedules) for Project Manager review.

• Set up and maintain project job files.

• Assist with change management and track change requests.

• Solicit and track subcontractor and supplier quotes, invoices, and payments.

• Support monthly project schedule updates and prepare meeting documents and notes.

• Assist Project Managers with special projects and provide overall operational support.

• Manage daily material orders (concrete, asphalt, etc.) with project teams.

• Serve as primary contact for vendors regarding material orders and deliveries.

• Issue purchase orders with correct job cost codes for materials.

• Ensure delivery tickets are coded before forwarding to accounting.

• Request and track Dig-Tess locate tickets for compliance.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.

• 0 to 1 years of experience in the construction industry.

• Valid Texas Driver's License required.

• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Analytical skills for moderate complex tasks.

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence.

• Experience presenting to small groups.

• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

• Sound judgment for resolving moderate issues.

• Ability to influence others and prioritize tasks.

• Strong time management and organizational skills.

• Ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate as a team.

• Consistent and timely attendance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The Project Administrator in the civil construction industry should be able to perform tasks that involve sitting for extended periods, as well as standing, walking, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. This role may require frequent use of a computer and other office equipment, necessitating good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. The ability to navigate construction sites and interact with various stakeholders in outdoor environments is also essential. A reasonable level of physical stamina and mobility is required to attend meetings and site visits as needed.
