Your New Role: As an Overhead Contact Systems Design Engineer, you will report directly to the Vice President and play a pivotal role in developing designs for significant projects such as the Portal North Bridge, Gateway Program, Penn Station, and various Northeast Corridor Amtrak initiatives.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Collaborate with rail agencies to identify essential design solutions for overhead catenary systems.

  • Design and develop overhead contact systems for railway and transit projects.

  • Liaise with OCS hardware manufacturers to offer clients the latest technological advancements, including insulators, brackets, automatic tensioning devices, surge arresters, and contact wire heating devices.

  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather necessary data for design.

  • Work with project managers, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of OCS designs.

  • Provide expert assistance to contractors during the installation phase to optimize methods and deliver high-quality solutions, and during the testing and commissioning phase to ensure progress to schedule and rigorous testing and recording of OCS installation.
