Location: Zachary, Louisiana
Summary: The Logistics Technician will provide administrative shipping and receiving support for the facility including data entry for PROAPP/Vantage, coordinate work with the customer and shop personnel, and is responsible for shipping, receiving, and warehousing.
• Responsible for all shipping requirements (pricing/packing slips/Bills of Lading)
• Responsible for all import/export paperwork & Brokerage interaction.
• Responsible for the flow of documentation.
• Responsible for various shipping / receiving administrative duties as necessary.
• Responsible for ordering & maintaining all sales literature
• Responsible for receiving all orders and placing parts in stock locations
• Responsible for maintaining stock room in good order
• Must maintain valid tow motor license.
• Build packing crates (use small tools: saws, hammers, etc.)
• Pull parts from stock to ship Work with shipping software
• Follow ISO & ESH procedures
• High School Diploma/GED is required
• 2+ years of relevant experience is required
• ESH & ISO process experience.
• Effective communications skills with internal & external customers both written & verbal
• Knowledge of Organization policies, procedures, and programs
• PC Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, AS400, PROAPP, Vantage OutLook/GroupWise
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Decision-making skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Detail and process oriented
• Product knowledge
