SUMMARY: Responsible for driving a designated route to load and/or unload fuel safely and timely. Depending on the assigned lane, may work remotely for four nights/five days.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Drive a commercial motor vehicle which requires a Class A Commercial Driver's License and a Hazardous Materials endorsement.
  • Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicles at varying speeds in difficult situations such as heavy traffic, inclement weather and in or out of tight areas.
  • Transport fuel in a timely and safe manner from load racks to retail and customer sites.
  • Properly manage daily pre-trip and post-trip for the assigned vehicle.
  • Submit daily record of duty status (HOS) via ELD mileage records and other records per DOT requirements.
  • Properly upload delivery paperwork into dispatch system.
  • Maintain daily communication with driver supervisor and dispatcher.
  • Maintain proper material and supplies for assigned vehicle.
  • Attend monthly and/or annual assigned training.
  • Properly interact with customers.
  • Maintain proper PPE at all times, both in the truck and out of the truck.

COMPENSATION: In addition to competitive wages, we offer:


  • Sign-on Bonus of $3,500.00.
  • Annual Company/Employee Performance Bonus up to 6% of annual salary.
  • Merit Increase based on Company and Employee performance.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent or experience in lieu of education.

EXPERIENCE:


  • Minimum of two years of experience operating truck/pup trailer or doubles.
  • Class A CDL with the following endorsements: X (Tanker and Hazmat) and Doubles or Triples.
  • Must meet current driver qualifications as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
  • Must have a current medical card.
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC card.
  • Must possess Longer Combination Vehicle Certificate (LCV) or be able to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
  • Experience driving in mountainous winter conditions.

PREFERRED:


  • Experience delivering fuel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook and Word).
  • Ability to use tablets for work instructions (ELD, maintenance, hours of service tracking).

WORK LOCATIONS:


  • Anchorage
  • Palmer
  • Fairbanks

WORK SCHEDULE:

Five days on with two days off.
Depending on the assigned route and place of homebase, may sleep in sleeper truck as needed.
Possible routes - Local Bulk Deliveries, Over the Road (OTR), Haul Road

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Works outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time.
