As Quality Manager, you will direct all quality assurance and food safety functions. You will also plan, direct and supervise all quality assurance practices and procedures adhering to local, state and federal food processing manufacturing guidelines.
Job Duties:
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Audit Quality Assurance functions to assure continued compliance requirements.
Manage and maintain Food Safety plan
Coordinate multidisciplinary activities among various team members assuring timely, efficient and cost-effective finality.
Administrate all product specifications assuring compliance with regulatory label requirements.
Make thorough inspections of department and area, creating and maintaining written reports of findings and coordination corrective action as required.
Develop all ingredient and nutritional information to be in regulatory compliance.
Ensure food standard compliance with FDA, OSHA, GMP and company policy.
Monitor inspection of all incoming materials, ensuring proper rotation of same.
Enforce GMP/Food Safety standards and company policy at all times.
SQF Practitioner and PCQI duties
The responsibility for establishing and implementing the training needs of the organizations' personnel to ensure they have the required competencies to carry out those functions affecting product, legality, safety, and quality.
Maintain high quality and integrity throughout facility.
May perform other functions as needed.
Required Competencies & Knowledge:
Knowledge of:
Hearthside procurement, products, and production processes.
Knowledge and experience with SAP.
Skill in:
Maintain harmonious relations with employees from all departments.
Maintain harmonious relations with management from all levels.
Ability to:
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Successfully multi-task.
Ensure collaborative relationships with industry, trade, other associations, regulatory agencies and Hearthside staff.
Lead 'best in class' behaviors with focus on safety, quality, and policy focus.
Proficiency in:
MS Office Suite
SAP experience is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree; or two to four years related experience and/or training.
Familiar with state and federal food processing regulations.
SQF Practitioner and PCQI training and working knowledge required.
Basic computer knowledge.
Must be detail-oriented.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and at times independently.
