What You'll Contribute to OHM Advisors


As a municipal engineer you will have the opportunity to work with a team of engineers and technicians on municipal projects. Engineering responsibilities include infrastructure design, preparation of construction documents, cost estimating, and thorough project QA/QC. Engineering duties include developing and managing the project scope, schedule, and budget; and delivering an overall quality project to our clients. Collaboration with a team of engineers and mentoring of entry-level staff will be essential.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Working on municipal projects involving infrastructure design, site/civil design, roadway rehabilitation/reconstruction, and pedestrian/bicycle facilities.
  • The desire and ability to train entry-level engineers and interns.
  • Understanding of State, Local, and Federal funding programs.
  • Understanding of ODOT design criteria, standards, and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and enjoy working in a team environment.
  • Maintenance of traffic design.
  • Traffic engineering.
  • Right of Way plan development.
  • Participation in local professional society functions.

    Requirements:


    Education, Experience & Licensure:
    • Ohio Prof. Engineering License
    • 5-6 years of experience with roadway, highway, site, and utility design.
    • Experience with ODOT and municipal projects involving roadway rehabilitation/reconstruction, infrastructure design, and pedestrian/bicycle facilities.
    • Experience with OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
    • Working towards obtaining your P.E license.
