This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate student data, tracking and updating attendance, assisting with records requests, and supporting the department with various reporting needs. This is a REMOTE full-time position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school.




Key Responsibilities:




Attendance Tracking & Updating:



  • Monitor and update daily attendance records for students receiving special education services.

  • Ensure attendance data is accurate and reported in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to address discrepancies in attendance.


Student Profiles Management:



  • Set up and maintain student profiles in the Infinite Campus system.

  • Update student information, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) details and placement changes.

  • Ensure all student data is accurate and in compliance with district and state guidelines.


Records Requests Assistance:



  • Assist in processing and fulfilling requests for student records from internal and external sources, including parents, staff, and external agencies.

  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with FERPA and other privacy regulations.

  • Track and document all record requests and submissions.


Support with Metrics & School Reporting:



  • Assist in collecting and preparing data for school and district reports, including special education metrics.

  • Work with administration and special education staff to ensure accurate reporting for compliance and state audits.

  • Support with maintaining databases and spreadsheets for reporting purposes.


General Administrative Support:



  • Provide clerical assistance to the Special Education Department, including data entry, filing, and document management.

  • Assist with scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and coordinating communications as needed.

  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Special Education Coordinator or school administration.




Supervisory Responsibilities:This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.



Minimum Required Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent AND

  • One (1) year of related service experience OR

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience




OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word; PowerPoint;

  • Ability to problem solve independently and have a high level of organization

  • Ability to embrace and adapt to change

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during work day

  • Ability to manage resources well (including tools, time, and task prioritization)

  • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and online platforms

  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

  • There are no travel expectations at this time
