You will be responsible for monitoring and managing Safety, Quality, Delivery and Inventory of the Operations organization. Coordinate and manage manufacturing operations activities that align with in-year and strategic business goals and objectives. Support the Senior Director of Operations/Site Lead to drive improvements in year-over-year employee satisfaction survey results through appropriate employee engagement.



Provide support and leadership of manufacturing value streams, warehouse manager and planning departments leveraging the Danaher Business System (LEAN) principles. Support the implementation of waste-reducing Kaizens in Operations to include focus on standard work in Operations and ensure sustainment of DMS (Danaher Material System) to drive Inventory optimization as well as QSB (Quality Systems Basics).

Responsibilities





  • Manage Value Stream Managers to proactively identify and implement product and process improvements, Cross-functional collaboration, standard work and scalable processes to support capacity and future growth




  • Manage Production Planners and Buyers to ensure materials are at the right inventory levels to meet OTD of products and strive for improved turns in support of optimizing working capital for the business




  • Provide insights into long-term plans and objectives to meet future manufacturing requirements; including specific capital deployment projects to support growth, risk mitigations and cost savings initiatives




  • Drive employee development programs for subordinates, including cross training, kaizen event participation and development goal support across Value Streams.




  • Support and ensure procedures and methods to ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, ISO, Canadian Medical Regulations and QA/QC medical, state and local regulatory agencies






Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience, or Masters' / Doctoral Degree with 6+ years of experience - including 2+ years managing people. Experience must include Manufacturing and operating in an FDA/ISO regulated industry.




  • Degree in life sciences, engineering, sciences, or related field




  • Prior experience in a DBS, Lean or Six Sigma Culture. Detailed understanding of Lean manufacturing tools and concepts along with a proven track record for lean implementations and documented resulting success.




  • Proven track record to work cross-functionally and within matrix to achieve business outcomes




  • Demonstrated success managing manufacturing, cycle count and inventory goals

  • Experience setting and managing budgets and profit targets including productivity and labor costs
