Job Description:

Incumbent will be a member of the Business Solutions and Implementation (BSI) Team, representing Cigna and Evernorth business needs in respect to the Product Enrollment Suite (PES). Aligned to the PES ART and Agile Product Owner for one of the PES scrum teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Works closely with multiple internal constituents (Product Management, Business Owners, SMEs) to gain a clear understanding of the key priorities for their scrum team's projects.

  • Partners with user SMEs to understand their processes in order to ensure platform design is efficient and meets requirements to support client implementation.


  • Ensures complex business priorities/needs are effectively translated into understandable requirements and acceptance criteria and communicated to the development team.

  • Plays a key role in Agile scrum team management having ownership for:

    • PI and sprint planning (shared)

    • User story content including final acceptance

    • Setting team priorities to ensure the scrum team delivers high quality business value (working software) as quickly as possible

    • Working with representatives from other scrum teams to anticipate integration needs

    • Coordinating sprint demos to confirm team's delivery meets expected business value

    • Working with Production Support teams to triage issues and take ownership of issue management for scrum team to drive the team to quickly bring issues to a close

    • Ability to manage project plans, priorities and resources in an Agile Development environment

    • Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and priorities.

    • Ability to identify scope of work and estimated effort.

    • Ability to identify issues, explain impacts and risks and propose solutions.

    • Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills that enable an individual to understand business problems and proactively identify solutions.

    • The ability to analyze trends or issues and propose and implement solutions and/or process improvements as well as translate customer business needs into application.

    • Build, interpret and enhance business requirements, design specifications, application documentation and unit est case scenarios.

    • Identify result, process, and solution gaps; develop case specific solutions.


  • Technical:

    • Ability to document, present and ensure implementation of configurable design.

    • Ability to ensure designs are based on strategic initiatives and a holistic understanding of the system, current and future-state vision.

    • Understands requirements, feasibility and gap analysis.

    • Ability to understand the interdependency betweentechnology and business process impacting the organization.

    • Understands our data and leverages in developing solutions.

    • Technical sophistication with relational database concepts, querying, data warehouses and decision support tools.

    • Ability to translate complex business requirements into meaningful scenarios and solutions.


  • Applications:

    • Proficiency in MS Excel, Access, Word, Visio and SharePoint with an aptitude for learning new and/or proprietary technology.

    • Proficiency in SQL and ALM preferred.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • BS/BA Degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 5+ years prior experience working on new or enhancement related application projects

  • 3+ years experience working as a Business Analyst

  • Experience with Agile development (SCRUM methodology) required

  • Understanding of Scaled Agile preferred

  • SAFe Agilist or Product Owner/Product Manager Certification preferred

  • Substantial experience with JIRA (managing stories, monitoring processes / reporting)

  • Product and benefit expertise; preferably deep understanding of Cigna's products and benefits

  • Understanding of Cigna's systems and data repositories preferred

  • Familiarity with programming languages.

  • Ability to write business rules in a formal language.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including listening, comprehension and application of concepts.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to compile and analyze information, determine benefits, and provide resolutions or recommendations for process improvement.

  • Strong, independent decision-making skills.

  • Ability to work successfully as an individual and within a team.

  • Organizational agility including the ability to foster and manage positive and influential working relationships in a matrix environment and at all levels of management.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor peers and partners.

  • Self-starter with strong work ethic and sense of urgency required, including successful experience in a fast-paced environment with multiple (competing) priorities.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 87,200 - 145,400 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
