Trusted Concepts, a division of Two Six Technologies, is on the lookout for a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be designing, developing, coding, testing, and debugging complex software products, as well as making significant enhancements to existing software. We're seeking a specialized, hands-on application builder with expertise in modern full-stack development for both back-end and front-end products. Alternatively, a hands-on platform builder with extensive experience in developing scalable data platforms and knowledge in business intelligence, analytics, data science, and data products is also an ideal fit. The successful candidate will have:
Strong, firsthand technical expertise in various configuration management and big data technologies.
A proven ability to create robust, scalable solutions that handle large data sets.
Comfort working in an agile environment with minimal supervision.
A passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research, design, develop, and modify enterprise-wide systems and application software.
Develop complex data flows and enhance existing pipelines.
Resolve hardware/software compatibility and interface design issues.
Maintain, support, and enhance existing systems and platforms.
Conduct complex investigations and tests.
Research emerging technologies for application impact.
Contribute to technical documentation updates.
Troubleshoot and support software systems and applications.
Advise hardware engineers on machine characteristics affecting software systems.
Prepare reports on analyses, findings, and project progress.
Provide guidance and leadership to less-experienced engineers.
Serve as a technical team or task leader as needed.
Recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with other engineers to advance the organization's capabilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience in software engineering or related technical discipline.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
Modern programming languages like with Java, Python, and SQL.
Server operating systems: Windows, Linux, Distributed Computing, Blade Centers, and cloud infrastructure.
System administration of Red Hat/Linux servers to include Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery systems such as Jenkins.
Ability to write in one or more scripting tools: Python, PowerShell, Bash.
Operations, to include Git, Jenkins, Rundeck, Jira, or Confluence.
Strong desire to learn including but not limited to new data, methodologies, and applications.
Excellent organizational, coordination, interpersonal, and team building skills.
Team focused, willing to develop and implement solutions in a dispersed team environment
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
Experience deploying code in AWS utilizing solutions such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
Familiarity and/or basic understanding of AWS Elastic MapReduce (EMR), Data Bricks or Jupyter Notebooks.
Experience delivering and/or integrating software solutions using cloud technologies (AWS/C2S).
